Season your steak in the healthiest and most flavorful way.

Ingredients:

  • 1 New York Strip or Ribeye steak
  • Smoked Refisal Grilling Salt (to taste)
  • Unsalted butter
  • 2 whole garlic cloves
  • Fresh herbs like thyme and rosemary

For the chimichurri:

  • 2 cups flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup fresh or dried oregano
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tablespoons red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons Refisal Sea Salt or Grilling Salt
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • 1/2 cup canola or olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons red wine vinegar

Instructions:

Prepare the chimichurri: Finely chop the parsley and oregano. In a bowl, mix them with the red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, garlic, oil, and vinegar.
TIP: You can prepare it a day in advance, store it in a glass jar, and let it rest to enhance the flavors.

Cook the steak: Pat the steak dry with a paper towel and season both sides with salt and pepper to taste.

Preheat a skillet over high heat with a little oil. Sear the steak on all sides until well browned.

Lower the heat to medium, add the butter, fresh herbs, and whole garlic cloves. Cook for about 10 minutes, occasionally basting the steak with the melted butter.
